Guarantee of Technical Competence

Inspections are carried out by Lemonsafe® an inspection body (Type A) accredited by IPAC, in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17020, guaranteeing technical competence, independence and impartiality.

Lemonsafe® is currently the inspection body accredited by IPAC in Portugal for initial , periodic and extraordinary inspections in the area of ​​workplace equipment safety .

The pleasure of being in contact with the water in swimming pools, whether for sports activities or simply for leisure, are reasons that lead us to seek them out in summer or winter.

We all know that swimming pools can pose a danger to our health and lives, so it is urgent to ensure that the space we use or make available to our clients or users is properly safe.

Lemonsafe® is the first national inspection body accredited by IPAC to inspect swimming pools. A certified inspection ensures that the equipment in use meets the requirements of the reference standards, giving confidence to customers and users .

Lemonsafe® offers an annual pool inspection program, Poolsafe®, to ensure that public sports or recreational pools meet the requirements of European standards EN15288-1 and EN15288-2.

How to act during and after a Poolsafe® inspection

The inspection to be carried out within the scope of the Poolsafe® Program focuses on the verification of documentation and on-site evaluation of existing spaces and equipment. The Entity must provide the records and procedures, as well as identify a liaison officer who will accompany the Poolsafe® inspector during the activity.

If situations requiring improvement or correction are identified, the Entity must implement the necessary actions to achieve compliance.

After the process is completed, Lemonsafe® issues the corresponding certificate and makes the Poolsafe®.

Certification Seal

Poolsafe® certificate of conformity for pool safety, complying with the European safety standard, including a QR code and text in English and Portuguese.

Entities that achieve an excellent rating in the inspected areas are awarded the Poolsafe®, which they can use in their physical and digital communications with stakeholders for one year.

How to obtain Poolsafe® Certification

1. Inspection Request

The client requests an inspection of the pools and equipment to be checked.

Our team reviews the request and schedules the technical visit.

2. On-site Technical Inspection

A qualified inspector verifies the equipment based on applicable standards and legal requirements.

During the inspection, the technical aspects relevant to the safety and compliance of the equipment are evaluated.

3. Report and Certification

Following technical validation, an inspection report is issued and, where applicable, the certificate and the Poolsafe®.

The customer receives the complete technical documentation in digital format.
